Dear Farm Journal,
Today Elaina and I hiked around the farm, exploring the stream beds beyond the maple sugar bush. I showed her the syrup operation, we looked for sparkly rocks, and studied the panorama of plant life, a thousand shades of green from the treetops to the mossy rocks. We trek from farm road to deer trail to no trail as we continue into the forest, immersing ourselves in her vitality, listening to the bird calls, peering into flower petals, and taking in the wonders of the woods.
