Dear Farm Journal,
I feel myself rising to the unfolding responsibilities of a farmer, a team leader, and a wife as our business and gardens grow. Today I have a crew of four by my side while Rufus delivers wholesale orders to Madison. I organize our tasks, arrange lunch, teach on the go, and learn a new level of delegation. Sandi is already doing a fantastic job of stepping up to instruct the newer members of the team, and I’m deeply grateful for her knowledgeable and intuitive support. Our new intern, Elaina, jumps right into the mix. She’s eager to learn and a quick study. I may have mentioned this a few times before, but boy am I ever thankful for these folks. They are transforming the 2020 season and allowing me to see family farming in a brand new bright and shining light.
