When it comes to beet puns, we just can’t help ourselves. As we work through the first harvest of the summer CSA, we fire off clever word play as it comes to mind. “We drop beets”, “We took a ‘beeting’ in the greenhouse”, “We got the beets”. Cassie even started our harvest playlist with Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. As you can see, we keep ourselves entertained. We have to do something to “beet the heat”.
