Oh sweet purple basil, that vibrant color, that calming essence. The aroma fills the greenhouse as we snap the stems for 152 little bundles of culinary delight for the CSA. I joke that I must be standing in the caprese section because directly behind me (close enough to get tangled up in) is a row of newly trellised heirloom tomatoes. Our favorite flavors of summer are on their way. The first box of season is filled to the brim with a rainbow of garden goodness. As we always say on pack out day, “This is a good looking box”.
