While tending our gardens, we  pause to notice blooming ornaments adorning the trees; lilacs, crabapple, and cherry blossoms. Rufus slips a lilac behind his ear and enjoys faint whiffs of the flowers throughout the afternoon. We finish the day with planting a strawberry patch in our newly built terrace beds and dream about the summer sweetness to come.
