After a morning of farming, we went down to the sugar bush to prepare for the third Driftless Curiosity workshop on maple syrup production . I nervously worked through a practice run of the molded candy demonstration. We had some doubts about the success of candy making in the woods, but to my happy surprise, they turned out awesome! I offered the nicest looking ones to Papa Rich who made some mouth-watering noises that confirmed our success. Sweet! We don’t suggest eating more than one, unless you really want to get your sugar buzz on.
