After the preparation and launch of Driftless Curiosity, three days in the woods, and I don’t know how many trees tapped, it’s time for a much needed break. Taking downtime after a big push is just as important as the force of the push itself. We must recognize our accomplishments in body and mind and give them reprieve after a climb. The temperature and a foggy rain drops, along with my wave of energy and endorphins. The colder weather brings the sap to a slow drip, endorsing my decision to lounge indoors. Today, we rest.
