One thing I’ve learned about living on a second generation farm, is that you inherit generational stuff. At Keewaydin, it’s about 50 % building materials; lumber, bricks, doors, windows, gutters, and endless unnameables. You name it, we could probably find it in the back of our barn. Rufus has taken on the organization of the wood shop this winter, and let me tell you, it’s no small task. However, if we want to keep sawing lumber, we have to have somewhere to go with it. Rufus has gone through the tedious process of putting each board in place, and although we have a long way to go, I’m proud of the progress he’s made.
