Rufus and I went to Madison today to deliver a wholesale order to the Willy Street Co-op and run some other errands. We went to Home Depot to pick up some supplies for our sauna project and added 4 new succulents to our collection. It’s become a tradition for each of us to pick out a succulent (or 2) whenever we go to Home Depot. We grabbed a curbside dinner from The Green Owl Cafe that did not disappoint. It was just the right thing to satisfy my holiday cravings for everything rich, yet miraculously all plant based. We ate everything from nachos to cheesecake as we drove through the Christmas lights off John Nolen Drive. The display of twinkle lights kindled a childlike love for Christmas that has faded in adulthood, but for a few moments, it surfaces. A flood of Christmas memories and sweet associations help me stir up a little more holiday mirth.
