Dear Farm Journal,
I like to tease Rufus about the number of farmer YouTube videos he watches. He invites me to watch over his shoulder, but I usually walk away because they’re so obnoxious. The wacky characters, shaky filming and cacophony of shoddy audio are too much. The irony, of course, is now we produce and share cell phone videos just like this. Anyways, the most recent YouTube fascination is a farmer who uses wood chips for weed suppression. We were both sold on the method. Rufus found a wood chipper on Craigslist, and was chipping wood by this afternoon. You would be surprised by how many farm projects are hatched from the marriage of Craigslist and YouTube.
