Dear Farm Journal,
Today Rufus and I had the pleasure of welcoming our first employee together. Growing our team feels like just the fuel we need to keep the farm momentum rolling. I recognize how rare and special it is to find a person with parallel passions, who just gets it. As we touch on a myriad of farm and life topics, I’m delighted to find that she lights up on the same circuit as Rufus and I. Our eyes brighten with talk of garden strategies and better agricultural systems when others’ eyes glaze over with a nod of the head. By the end of the day, I feel I’ve not only gained an employee, but a fast friend. I’m happy as a lark who finds her flock; feeling each feathered flap of the wing will move us gracefully through the sky together.
