Dear Farm Journal,
Mother Nature just keeps on giving me love through this spring sap run. Today I genuinely felt like a kid again. My brother and I played in the woods all day. Well, we kept the sap boiling, but in the meantime, we built a fort, explored a creek bed, looked for cool rocks, and consumed copious amounts of sugar via “syrup sampling”. We came back to the farm near sunset, and I crashed hard, like a little kid who can barely make it through dinner because she played so powerfully. Once the sugar buzz wore off, I was happily down for the count.
