Dear Farm Journal,
Today we packed our last week of the fall CSA, and what a journey it has been. We have grown some incredible food, but that’s not the only thing that has grown. With each passing season, I grow inside. I open up to the beautiful surprises of nature. My knowledge of plants, soil, seeds, weeds, and organic farming is further cultivated, taking up more space in my brain. My relationship with Rufus builds further skyward with each harvest day, every petty argument, and each high five of a successful pack out. It is hard to explain how much I am in love with this lifestyle. I am continuously invigorated, constantly supported, and forever laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. That is not to say we don’t have tough days. You read my daily thoughts and know that sometimes I struggle. However, at the end of the day, I don’t think I would rather be doing anything else.
