Dear Farm Journal,
How can I be starting to lose hope that it will ever rain again? Of course it will. However, every time they say it’s going to rain, the clouds just hover mockingly above. I keep hanging my laundry out on the line, daring the sky to pour down on it, but nothing but a few tablespoons. Moving the sprinkler has become a constant, but it just doesn’t soak the gardens like a good downpour. We’ve even been letting the water run at night to keep up. It’s dusty and the plants contract from thirst. Keep watering. Just keep watering.
