This season, we’ve planted more flowers around the farm and I can confirm that they add a measure of jubilance to the landscape. Today the team transplanted a far-reaching row of Mexican Marigold Mint along the driveway, and right behind that, zinnias are popping up. Walking the farm comes with bright new splashes of color coaxed forth from the last burst of rain or shine. Wildflowers, perennials, annuals, pollinator plantings, and even vegetable flowers continue to draw my eye from the task at hand for a momentary appreciation of their bloom.
