While we pack the final share of the spring CSA, Rufus brings on a new batch of baby chicks. Our chicken coop has gotten a major reset and is now ready for nursery residents (fingers crossed that all holes have been sufficiently patched). These 100 little ones emit high pitched chirps that seem too loud to be coming from their petite bodies, with little more substance than dandelion fluff. Balio takes notice and waits by the door, to protect or to partake, we don’t give him a chance to look further into the latter. Just make sure this area is predator free, Balio. That goes for you too.
