After the first spring harvest and pack out, I’m happy to be mostly horizontal for a day. I help Rufus get the van loaded and he takes off for Madison before 7:00 AM. I lay on the couch and put the newsletter together, compile customer email lists, answer new member questions, and send out delivery confirmations to each drop site when Rufus texts me. In the background, I’m working on Driftless Curiosity tasks and preparing for our foraging workshop this weekend. I sort of forgot that I grabbed a cold brew at Wonderstate when I was running errands, then had another (rather large) cup of “afternoon coffee” when I got home. So, I ended up working until about midnight. Note to self: Keep an eye on that afternoon coffee intake.
