The remainder of our foraging books have arrived and Rufus and I spend a good part of Sunday flipping through the pages. We read aloud to each other and are taken back at some of our discoveries, especially finding out parts of plants we’ve been taught to avoid all of our lives are edible (staghorn sumac and wild parsnips). Our walks on the land have taken on an element of auxiliary thrill at the possibility of spotting a new species, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve found at the Driftless Curiosity workshop.
