Although I intended to spend the day outside, I consumed the day in nonprofit research mode. It’s the first time in forever that my hunger for internet exploration has trumped my thirst for fresh air and sunshine. I’ve connected with another Johns Hopkins alumni, a nonprofit developer and finance professional who has agreed to look over our strategic plan (the nonprofit version of a business plan) so I’m even more motivated to get organized and answer some of my own questions. I have a lot to learn, but I feel supernaturally energized in manifesting the vision of Home Wind Learning Center, stewarding the connection between the life of the land and the life of the people through experiential education, community building, farming, food, social justice, and the arts.
