If people only shop at the grocery store, they rarely get to see the humorously shaped vegetables sculpted by the soil, and this is a real shame. Rufus and I find endless entertainment in these works of art. “Oh my god! Look at this one!”, I say, holding up a carrot that looks like a cat paw, a gnarly foot, and a hand giving the middle finger. Sometimes our CSA members even send us photos of vegetables they get a kick out of. This week someone sent us a photo of a butternut squash that would have made you blush! Why would we want to cull this all away for the tedium of uniformity? More fun for us!
