Our family is finding a rhythm in farming and I love keeping time with them. We switch in and out of various farm roles without stepping on toes and rally for one another when energy levels sink low in the late afternoon (with the sweet gift of high powered cold brew). I know from listening to other farm families this type of cohesion is to be cherished, for the relationship dynamics of family farming are often wrought with discord, harsh words, and teary endings. My heart is to cultivate a culture that keeps us close and kind.
