Dear Farm Journal,

I’m settling into the syncopated rhythm of our husband and wife team, and I have to say, even though I’m doing more work than with our full team, I don’t mind it. Since we’re alone, our level of professionalism, that comes with managing others, falls slack. Flirtatious banter, silly distractions, and occasional butt slapping become acceptable, lightening the load of a full day’s work. At a handful of moments throughout the day, I pause to count myself extraordinarily fortuitous to be working alongside such a partner.
