Cucumbers and summer squash are starting to pile up on pallets. Ripe tomatoes fill the pack shed table. I sort through the produce, packing up the good, salvaging the bad (for the farmers), and feeding the pigs the ugly. Soon we’ll need to shuffle and shift to make more space for incoming crops. The cornucopia is upon us, and the pigs wag their tails in their own sort of gratitude.
