It’s generally recognized that human beings easily forget our everyday advantages. We hastily become accustomed to widespread leisure and readily lose count of every little blessing that falls into our lap (while keeping a close tally on passing mishaps and exasperations). Recently an influx of visitors to the farm have been reminding me of how lucky I am to live on the land, and I always say, “I know”. However, after a few days in the city, I start to consider that maybe I don’t really know yet just how fortunate I am. So, I set an intention to walk the land in mindful gratitude.
