Henry David Thoreau said, “Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence”. I’ve been thinking about Earth Day, and how it has come to carry more meaning for me as a farmer. I’m part of an industry which has committed high crimes against the land in the name of profit and control. However, some of us are on the land because we truly love it and want to spend our lives caring for it. We walk that narrow and crooked path with love and reverence.
