Today Rufus and I participated in a research interview for the Midwest Healthy Ag Project, a project of Regeneration Midwest. This is a group of agricultural advocates from the twelve Midwest states founded in 2017. They received funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to investigate agri-food systems across the Midwest to better understand what is already working in agricultural communities, what is not, and what we can do differently. The researchers conducted a comprehensive interview which prompted in-depth conversations on topics we hold fire for; sustainable practices, connections between farming, food, and health, and the injustice of current farm policy. It felt significant to include our voice in this conversation. It gives me hope for regeneration.
