In the wake of Christmas nostalgia, a minor tone sings from my heart strings from a lonesome reverberation within, but today is our Christmas bonfire; a small outdoor gathering to turn my tune around. Finally, I’ll be surrounded by family, around a crackling fire, under the luminous planets. Moonlight beams through a carpet of clouds, lighting the way, like our kindred spirits shining through this dark night of a holiday. Through the smoke, I scan the smiles lit by the central blaze, and my heart sings anew.
