I spent another day cloving the garlic, brainstorming ways to avoid blunt force finger trauma. “It’s nasty barehanded work”, Rufus says after I tell him about my failed attempt at using a shishkabob skewer to pry the garlic open, which broke off almost immediately, spearing the clove in the process. So it was back to bare handing it, 53 lbs. of seed so far, and about twice that much to go. Dear God! There must be a tool out there for this.
