Dear Farm Journal,
Today I continued making my way down the tomatillo/ground cherry patch. It is amazing how much fruit is just laying on the ground. I couldn’t quite calculate how much was underneath all of those thick vines, but as I haul in crate after crate, I remember just how amazing plants really are. I have done minimal maintenance on this crop since it is planted in the black plastic. Nonetheless, the vines and the ground are covered in ripe round yield. We have more tomatillos than we can move, so I guess it’s time to put some tomatillo salsa up for winter.
