Well, it’s official. The first article I wrote for Driftless Area Magazine made the cover story. I couldn’t be more thrilled or nervous. The force set in motion when you put yourself out there is a razor’s edge that can shape you or cut you to pieces. It’s a sharp sort of charge, one that makes me flinch and pulls me forward like the motion of my own beating heart; the peculiar vulnerability wrapped up in art.
